London RemadeLondon RemadeLondon Remade is an innovative recycling programme aimed at increasing markets for recycled products and driving the development of an entrepreneurial recycling supply chain. A unique partnership between the business community, public and not-for-profit sectors, London Remade uses recycling as a vehicle to drive economic and social regeneration and is principally funded by the London Development Agency to deliver green procurement and business support programmes. London Remade drives material resource efficiency in the capital, by increasing demand for recycled material through the development of collections, reprocessing, remanufacture and procurement. The Footprint project is led by London Remade and London First. WSP Environmental and Natural Strategies were commissioned to produce a series of reports measuring the size and steps to reduce London’s Footprint. The project was funded by Biffaward through Landfill Tax Credit funding. London Remade and London First have produced an ‘action plan’ to help organisations reduce their Ecological Footprint. This website helps to explain what London’s impact on the environment is, why it is important and practical ways in which we can all reduce it.
